The obsession and commentary on pop culture & the celebrity world

I think I may wet my pants

figuratively, not literally.

So, there are a couple of must-view-every-morning-websites that I obviously check every morning, hence the wording of "must-view-every-morning-websites."

There's Perez for the celeb gossip and there are a number that I frequent in order to stay in the "know" on all good television. Of course, the latter is subjective, but I think that I and my fave bloggers have impecable taste. ;)

Anywho, I was perusing Ducky Does TV this morning & it brought me the most wonderous news via E!... so good that I think it may have made my week and it's only Monday. Weeeeee!!!!!

E! is reporting that Jason Bateman has confirmed that story.

Jason Bateman has just confirmed to me that the creative minds behind Arrested Development (Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard) have put the wheels in motion toward a major motion picture of the Fox TV comedy so many of us adore. I’m told by insiders that Jason and other Bluth family members have received calls from producers (Hurwitz and Howard) asking if they would be willing to shoot a movie.

“I can confirm that a round of sniffing has started,” Bateman says. “Any talk is targeting a poststrike situation, of course. I think, as always, that it’s a question of whether the people with the money are willing to give our leader, Mitch Hurwitz, what he deserves for his participation. And I can speak for the cast when I say our fingers are crossed.”

Jeffrey Tambor also revealed on XM Radio’s the Ron and Fez Show that he has been approached by Ron Howard to see if he’s willing to do an Arrested film. (You can hear that interview below.)

For the record, both Jason and Jeffrey’s answers were: Hells yeah. And I hear from other sources that other castmembers were called and that everyone seems to be very much on board and excited by the prospect.

Insiders also tell me that while creator Mitch Hurwitz does not yet have a script, he has a good, solid understanding of what he’d like to do for the movie, and Universal is very much interested.

And so it seems that a few good—wait, no, outrageously amazing—things just might come out of this unfortunate writers’ strike, as the creative minds in this town have had time to pause, regroup and think about their dream projects.

Never short of surprises

I still wonder why I'm willing to devote three hours of my life every couple of months to watch award shows. They're usually long and somewhat boring, but still I tune in religiously. Maybe it's the glitz and glamour... or that I just don't want to miss out on talking about the high- and low-lights at the watercooler w/ the gals @ work. Either way, it's three-plus hours that I'll never get back.

The Emmys, as usual, gives out the "top" award for TV shows and its actors in various categories. & of course, 85 per cent of the time, I dont' agree w/ all the nominees. You know that the Emmys voters have excellent taste in television when the talent of Charlie Sheen and Two and a Half Men are up for Best Actor in a Comedy and Comedy Series year-in-and-year-out and smart show, such as Arrested Development and Veronica Mars are either cancelled or ignored altogether.

However, there were some surprises stemming from last night's Emmys... Ryan Seacrest wasn't as horrid as I thought he would be. Some of the jokes were a bit distasteful -- the writer should be fired -- but overall, he probably didn't do so bad considering that he really was more of an emcee than a host.

Other than winning Best Drama Series, The Sopranos were virtually shut out.

The least likely winner in the Best Supporting Actress in a Drama category, Katherine Hiegl, actually won. Really? Cute acceptance speech though. & she looked gorgeous.

James Spader... again?

& can I just say how over-hyped Ugly Betty is? Don't get me wrong, this is one of my "must watch" shows. I enjoy it, but I just don't get all the love for it. Did America *really* deserve the award? The voters obviously thought so.

& how AWESOME was it that Ricky Gervais won for Extras!? & how great was the fact that Steve Carell ran up there to reunite w/ Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart?

Drunk, pregnant or really touched?

While I make Perez Hilton a daily read, I can't necessarily say that I'm a huge fan of his. He may be on top of all the celebrity gossip that I'm after and able to post it in short write-ups, but as a personality, Perez is seriously overrated. I don't understand why he gets invited to parties and awards shows, such as the MMVA. I guess it's free publicity for them, given that Perez will certainly report on anything & everything, particulary if he was there, regardless of how insipid it is. Hell - I'm giving him "free" publicity now - why am I even wasting my energy? ;)

I'll be the first to admit that I used to find Avril Lavigne's music catchy. I'll even admit that I own her first album. Who didn't love Sk8r boi? I know that you did even if you're in denial. W/ this said, I HATE Girlfriend. What a horrendous song & when did she get back-up dancers?

I caught a bit of the MMVAs last night & saw that she won a viewers choice categories. Clearly Cdns' taste in music is a lot worse off than I originally thought. However, my first thoughts when I saw Avril accept the award was, "Is she drunk, pregnant or genuinely touched?" I'd like to go w/ the latter as it would show taht she does have a softer side and has potentially matured. Avril really seemed to be touched that she won it as she had started crying. & even if she was drunk, I don't necessarily think that it was "hilarious" that she was crying as Perez has claimed.

What do you think?

Unfortunately, I don't have a TV :(

Well, that's not the complete truth. I do have a TV, but it's still sitting in my parent's living room. I just don't see hte pnt in moving it to my condo if a) my place is a ginormous mess & b) I still need to get a TV bench, etc. W/ that said, I'm still incredibly behind in my television watching thanks to my two week trip out east... in April. Hell, I *JUST* watched the season series finale of Veronica Mars last night & man was it ever written w/ an open ending. Damn you CW for not renewing it... DAMN YOU! They just don't know what's good television when it hits them squarely on the forehead. *sigh*

The only positive thing about not having a TV is that there isn't much in terms of summer television other than my fave, So You Think You Can Dance and my guilty pleasure, Kyle XY, leaving me w/ the opp to catch up on movies that I've been wanting to see.

While it has been years since I've watched American or Cdn Idol, I am tempted to watch CI this year for one reason & one reason only... Dave Kerr. I've had a lil crush on him since he first appeared on Much's Video on Trial. I just want to squeeze him & take him home w/ me. ;)

Ginormous

is what I would call her head. Am I the only one who thinks that Amy Winehouse's head is too big for her body? Well... at least in the latest cover of Spin.

& while I'm @ it... can I just say how pissed off I am that she'll be making an appearance @ VFest in TO? I had a great time -- relatively, considering the downpour on the Sunday -- @ VFest Vancouver, but the line-up for TO is to die for. :(

Supastar

I vaguely remember reading somewhere about how Mischa Barton attributed the demise of The OC to the producers/writers poor decision in killing of her character, Marissa. As any true & blue OC fan can tell you, we all let out a yelp of glee when Marissa passed away on that dark & windy road.

Anywho... I have faith that the actors of the now defunct OC have successful careers ahead of them. However, it's evident that Mischa does not. According to her IMDB page, she has a couple of things coming down the pipe, but nothing shouts blockbuster. I mean, frak... she's doing a movie w/ Ja Rule! However, she is keeping herself busy being the face of Keds. She was seen this past weekend doing a signing in the fashion-forward city of Bellevue. </sarcasm>

It's been a long time coming...

that SNL has been able to make me LMAO. OK... so the Dick in a Box "music video" was hi-LAR-ious, but it's been a while since an actual skit has made me laugh hard.

Apart from Arcade Fire being the musical performer this past weekend, I was really excited to see Rainn Wilson host. LOVE him as Dwight on The Office.

His opening monologue was ABSOLUTELY hilarious - & it's even funny the 2nd and 3rd time you watch it. Who knew that the cast would be that good at emulating The OFfice characters?

So, for your viewing pleasure...

Music to my ears!

I've gotta say... I was pretty bummed when I found out that Muse was no longer playing at V-Fest in Vancouver. While I was looking fwd to seeing My Chemical Romance, I was REALLY excited about Muse. But lo & behold, earlier this week when I was checking the V-Fest website... their name was unmistakenly replaced w/ Rise Against... :( Felt ultra bad for my bro as he forked over $45 purely to see Muse...

However, how stoked am I now, to find out that another fantabulous European band, Mew is coming to Vancouver! April 3 @ Richards on Richards.

I guess this somewhat makes up for hte fact that I've somewhat wasted my $ on V-Fest!

Let's talk some pigskin

I'm sure for those of you out there who know me well, are thinking, WTF!? I'm not exactly what you would call a huge football fan, but here I am drafting up a post that focuses ONLY on football.

First off - the Grey Cup is looking to sell the naming rights of the "illustrious" game/award/...cup. Are there any other major sports that have done this? Apart from tennis and golf that is. I just think that hte "Tim Horton's" Grey Cup sounds wrong.

On another note, Mo over at the Chicago Tribune wrote a great post about one of my fave shows, Friday Night Lights. While I haven't seen the latest ep, I can't agree w/ her anymore. This is a phenomenal show that ppl SHOULD be watching. Hell, I look fwd to the show each week & I don't even like watching football. The only thing I don't agree w/... Matt & Julie being TV's greatest couple... Veronica & Logan definitely take the cake on that way... hands down... even when they're not together.

If I was a huge Joss Whedon fan, I'm sure I would be. But, I think this should be a fun ep nonetheless... just how many characters is he going to kill off?

I can't see how Carson is suitable replacement for the affable, Conan O'Brien. Not to mention, his Manorexia would scare any viewers who aren't used to staying up late to watch that "creature"...

The little show that could...

Could Little Mosque on the Prairie be Canada's next big export? Some ppl seem to think so, but only time will tell.

There have been few television shows that have made it big in the U.S. or even attracted this much media attn. There's The New Degrassi (which is def inferior to the original), but that's only on a kid's cable network in the U.S. Then there's Da Vinci's Inquest, but that's only in syndication and airs at ridiculous hours. However, doing extremely well in comparison to other syndicated shows.

I'd like to see CBC actually succeed at developing a new TV show. We seem to be great at producing news programming - whether it's actually news or mock-news - but just can't get anything else off the ground.

Hope the hype for the show continues - frig... even CNN has a story! Would love to catch it & see if it lives up to the hype, but I have no electricity @ home... again... for the third time in a week. DAMN YOU BC HYDRO!

The awards season has descended...

But before we get into that... more importantly, the OC has been cancelled. If this had happened last yr, I'm sure I wouldn't be as affected as I actually dreaded watching the show on most occasions when my TV just happened to be tuned to it and I skipped more than 1/2 the season. But Schwartz vowed to "revamp" the show and bring it back to the glory of its heydays - the first season. & I've gotta admit, I've become quite attached to the show again, now that Marissa is dead. It's gotten... "cute" again.

Plus a nice little good-bye msg from Maureen from The Watcher. Couldn't agree any more w/ her comments & thoughts on the show.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand... (now that I think about it, I should've done two separate entries... but I'm too lazy to do that now. ;) ) Award season is upon us! The questionable Hollywood Foreign Press came out w/ their nods for the Golden Globes last year (seriously... Beyonce as a candidate for best actress? Are you kidding me!?) and the Screen Actors Guild just came out w/ their list this morning.

Movies

Actor:
Leonardo DiCaprio - Blood Diamond
Ryan Gosling - Half Nelson
Peter O'Toole - Venus
Will Smith - The Pursuit of Happyness
Forest Whitaker - The Last King of Scotland
ed. note: have had a big ole crush on this guy since he played Sean on Breaker High... OK, so I liked Scott Vickaryous more, but you get the drift. But he's been getting a lot of Oscar buzz for this role & while I haven't seen the movie yet, I'm sure it's well deserved. He's Cdn afterall & isn't that a good enough reason?

Actress:
Penelope Cruz - Volver
Judi Dench - Notes on a Scandal
Helen Mirren - The Queen
Meryl Streep - The Devil Wears Prada
Kate Winslet - Little Children

Supporting actor:
Alan Arkin - Little Miss Sunshine
Leonardo DiCaprio - The Departed
Jackie Earle Haley - Little Children
Djimon Hounsou - Blood Diamond
Eddie Murphy - Dreamgirls

Supporting actress:
Adriana Barraza - Babel
Cate Blanchett - Notes on a Scandal
Abigail Breslin - Little Miss Sunshine
Jennifer Hudson - Dreamgirls
Rinko Kikuchi - Babel
ed. note - again, haven't seen any movies, but I'd love to see Jennifer Hudson win it & rub it in both Beyoncé's and Simon Cowell's face. Would love Abigail to win 'cause she's a lil one.

Cast:
Babel
Bobby
The Departed
Dreamgirls
Little Miss Sunshine

Television

Actor in a movie or miniseries:
Thomas Haden Church - Broken Trail
Robert Duvall - Broken Trail
Jeremy Irons - Elizabeth I
William H. Macy - Nightmares & Dreamscapes
Matthew Perry - The Ron Clark Story

Actress in a movie or miniseries:
Annette Bening - Mrs.Harris
Shirley Jones - Hidden Places
Cloris Leachman - Mrs. Harris
Helen Mirren - Elizabeth I
Greta Scacchi - Broken Trail
ed. note - I think this one is pretty much in the bag...

Actor in a drama series:
James Gandolfini - The Sopranos
Michael C. Hall - Dexter
Hugh Laurie - House
James Spader - Boston Legal
Kiefer Sutherland - 24
ed. note - While I may have some Kiefer lovin', Michael C. Hall totally deserves it for the complex character and phenomenal show.

Actress in a drama series:
Patricia Arquette - Medium
Edie Falco - The Sopranos
Mariska Hargitay - Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
Kyra Sedgwick - The Closer
Chandra Wilson - Grey's Anatomy
ed. note - I'm torn b/n these two as I LOVE Grey's Anatomy and Mariska...

Actor in a comedy series:
Alec Baldwin - 30 Rock
Steve Carell - The Office
Jason Lee - My Name Is Earl
Jeremy Piven - Entourage
Tony Shalhoub - Monk
ed. note - I may have hated the show when it first aired as a mid-season replacement, but it's definitely found its voice and feet & it's definitely "Must-See-TV" now.

Actress in a comedy series:
America Ferrera - Ugly Betty
Felicity Huffman - Desperate Housewives
Julia Louis-Dreyfus - The New Adventures of Old Christine
Megan Mullally - Will & Grace
Mary-Louise Parker - Weeds
Jaime Pressly - My Name Is Earl
ed. note - tough call. It would be nice to see a great actress that doesn't fit into Hollywood's stereotype of a what a "star" is, but it would also be nice to see a deserving actress win for a fantastic show that isn't seen by a whole lot of ppl.

Drama series cast:
24
Boston Legal
Deadwood
Grey's Anatomy
The Sopranos

Comedy series cast:
Desperate Housewives
Entourage
The Office
Ugly Betty
Weeds

Let me introduce you to...

some shows that you probably aren't watching *&* should be!

I've finally caught up on all my television watching after missing a full month from my travels in Asia & I've gotta say, this yr is probably one of the most satisfying television seasons I've experienced. & yes, I'm addicted to TV.

So, what are some of the best shows out there right now? Well, rather than using my brain power to come up w/ a list, I'll let Maureen Ryan from the Chicago Tribune do it as she gets paid to do so (can someone tell me how I can get a job like hers and/or Whitney's!?)

Maureen's recapped her top 10 shows of this yr, along w/ the top 10 runner ups.

The only ones I don't necessarily agree w/?

Deadwood, The Shield, The Wire & The Closer - mostly because I haven't seen these shows. But really - they're all cable shows, so htey must be good!

Weird...

Rage and Fury

Rob Cohen is not done getting his Bruce Lee fix. The director of 1993's Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story will next work on Rage & Fury. The film will interpose a digital Lee into the story who will speak dialogue from old films. The script is written by Gustin Nash and Jesse Cale.

Loved Dragon - a lot - but can't say that I'm jumping up & down for this one... But from experience I'm sure I'll be eating my words after it actually goes into production and hits the theatre. ;)

I hate spoilers...

but I like taking a break from work & reading blogs on celebrity gossip and bloggers' thoughts on some of my favourite show. I'm still a lil behind on some of the shows that I'm a frequent watcher of, due to mine and my bro's return to the country part way into the television season. So, w/ that in mind and the fact that I *hate* spoilers, reading blogs is increasingly difficult as I don't know what's going to happen on an ep that I haven't seen yet - as was the case when I was perusing TV filter.

What I didn't mind finding out was that they are eliminating the mystery-arcs for Veronica Mars... BBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! That's my whole issue w/ this season - apart from the fact that VM seems a smidge bitchier than before. The lack of a season long mystery arc has totally decreased the mystique of VM. OK, probably not the best way to describe it, but to put it simply, me no likey.

What I didn't want to find out? That the next arc is "Who killed Dean O'Dell." GRRR!

While I know it's a waste of my time, I know that I'll be sitting on the couch, in front of the TV on Sunday.

Uh oh spaghettios

The not-so-lil and not-so-cute anymore once-wonderkid, Haley Joel Osment, has gotten himself into a lot of shiznit! He got himself into a lil car bang up a whiles back, well, it's been confirmed that the Sixth Sense star had a blood alcohol content of 0.15 per cent. :O *&* was in possession of some ganja.

While I haven't seriously sat down & watched the Teen Choice Awards in yrs, I'll usually catch bits & pieces of it whenever Much Music repeated - and I mean *repeatedly* - airs it throughout the year, but this year, the show was to be a "special" one. K-Fed was scheduled to perform his latest single from K Federation records. Yes - that is one creative name for a record label! :
While I can proudly say that I didn't watch the entire show for this appearance, I was curious as to hear his latest single, as Popozao was a musical masterpiece! Unlike AP, I thought the song was horrible - hell, it didn't even sound like a song. I think the reporter who drafted this story was smoking something when he/she wrote it. Not half bad? You've gotta be kidding me!

edit: Oh thank GAWD! I'm not the only one that thinks AP's review was wack.

So much entertainment news...

that I dont' know what to do w/ myself.

It's been a mad couple of months and an even crazier weekend. As work has taken up, pretty much, 85 per cent of my free time, I haven't had much time to procrastinate & I usually use my weekends for downtime AWAY from the computer. Plus, as I was sharing an office w/ 5 other ppl for a while, couldn't exactly blog, if you know what I"m saying! ;)

Still want to blog about a concert that I went to a whiles back and the Emmy nods, but that'll havta wait for another day. But onto more exciting news...

It was a very sad day in Y's homestead when the news dropped that Arrested Development was no longer. No more inappropriate use of sexual innuendo. No more NO TOCAR. No kissing cousins. No Europe's Final Countdown song. No more of Ron Howard's soothing drawl providing us commentary on the Bluth's adventures and mishaps. & most importantly, no more "never nude" references. *sigh* However, Maeby has told TV Guide that there's the possibility of a movie!? How excited am I?

Didn't realize that *SO* many ppl were actually *that* excited about the release of the Pirates of the Carribbean sequel. I saw that there were even midnight screenings in Vancouver! :O While I liked the first one, I wasn't really all *that* impressed w/ it. But what an box office intake on opening weekend! Media was talking about how impressive it was & how it beat Spiderman, but really, more importantly, it beat the opening of Aquaman! ;)

While I hate the idea of a remake and hated it even more after watching the "first" season, the U.S. version of The Office has now become one of my favourite shows. Love the relationship b/n Jim and Pam. Plus, I have a lil ole crush on Jim myself! & Dwight Shrute... gawd, he's quite the character! Anyway, it sounds like some of hte UK counterparts will be making an appearance during the third season of the U.S. version of The Office. No confirmation whether they will be playing new characters or their original characters. How exciting would it be to see a Gareth and Dwight face off!? :O

On another note, looks like some U.S. networks has decided to continue w/ the tradition of ripping remaking successful UK shows. Next on the list are The Mighty Boosh and Saxondale. Not sure how well The Mighty Boosh will translate. I personally think the show is hilarious, but can understand why some North Americans wouldn't get it. For eff's sake, ppl can't even get into Arrested Development...

It was good knowing you while it lasted

Clouts that is. Don't suspect that he'll be w/ the Canucks for much longer.

From CKNW's alert -
Goaltender Roberto Luongo has signed a $27-million US, four-year deal with the Vancouver Canucks

Dave Nonis is sure cleaning house! Who's next? Brendan Morrison? He really was ineffective in the 2005/2006 season... As long as Ohlund stays, I'm good.

What will be the summer blockbuster this year?

I can tell you what won't be - The Lake House. However, as I am a sucker for the rom-com, I still liked it.

Usually, when there's so much hoopla about, an adverse reaction takes over me and I have a tendency to want to boycott it. Case in pnt - the Spiderman series starring Tobey Maguire. Everyone was just ranting and raving about the movies and that just made me not want to see it even more. Granted, my dislike for Tobey Maguire and Kiiiiiirrrssten Dunst probably played a major part in it too.

I still haven't seen the Spiderman movies and as for the Star Wars prequels, I either have waited a couple of years after they were released & I still haven't seen the 3rd one.

W/ that said - I'm actually kinda interested in seeing Superman Returns. The early reviews are in and they're good. It doesn't hurt that they put a no-namer in the starring role of Superman either. The dude seriously only has eight credits to his name, apart from Superman and the video game. If you ask me, the highlight of his career to date is probably being in Christina Aguilera's "What a girl wants" video. ;)

Granted, putting a no-name in front of millions of movie-goers could potentially kick you in the ass. I guess the upside is that everyone else is the movie, Kevin Spacey in particular, can be the draw.

While I'll probably end up going to see the movie, I'm more excited about A Scanner Darkly. "You mean, the two sides of my brain are competing against each other?" (WHOA!)

God help us

As I do have a number of fairly religious friends, I try not to use the Lord's name in vain & typically type out "gawd" in order not to offend anyone. Damn, I'm considerate. :) However, the latest news regarding Paris Hilton being in the running to play Mother Teresa in a feature film... GOD help us

Procrastination is FUN

Especially when you're not facing any deadlines & can actually do it. Woo hoo! While I'm still drowning in work, it's nice to actually be able to break through the surface and take a breath of fresh air...

So much celebrity gossip and no time for me to discuss or rant makes Y a grumpy girl. & boy, have I been grumpy the past couple of weeks. @ least I was able to make it out of the office to hit up a couple of concerts the past couple of weeks, including Jenny Lewis, Jason Collett & We are Scientists.

Since his 1st appearance on SNL, I thought that Andy Samburg was pretty good. It didn't hurt that I thought he was cute, as I have a tendency to fall for the "dorks." & there's no way you could deny t hat Andy Samburg is a dork if you start looking for not-so-old photos of him. Yikes! ;) He made quite a name for himself after the Lazy Sunday digital short, followed by the even better Natalie Portman rap digital short. But is he ready for super stardom? EW reports that some believe he is as he's been given the lead in a movie called Hot Rod. All before he even completes a full year on SNL.

So... is he going to bomb or be a huge success? At this pnt, I'm gonna havta go w/ the prior. Sorry Andy!

Transformers, more than meets the eye!

Earlier this week, EW's Popwatch introduced "
Guess Who!" where they post an old photo of someone & readers get to submit their responses. Sort of like "Before they were stars" dealies. I saw this pic a day late & totally knew who it was. & boy did I ever laugh when I found out that I was right. Too funny.

Click here for the answer. Did you get it right?

She must be heartbroken!

</sarcasm>

To date, Michelle Williams of Brokeback Mountain fame has only been in 27 TV and movie productions. Prior to being in BM, she was most known as Jennifer Lindley on Dawson's Creek, the teen drama where everyone spoke like they were university professors and that everyone loved to hate in the late '90s - including myself.

It's funny now that we're only a couple of days before the Oscar Awards, her old school, Santa Fe Christian has come out swinging... disowning her due to her being involved in the year's biggest and most profound movie. Publicity stunt? Perhaps... Why have they chosen to make a brouhaha now? I mean, if we look at Michelle's career from a purely Christian "morals" standpnt - she's always made questionable career moves.

Dawson's Creek - portrayed a character who has premarital sex, is a single mother and whose best friend is gay.

Killing Mr. Griffin - based on the Lois Duncan book that I actually liked when I was younger. I mean, the title is pretty self-explanatory. Some students didn't mean to kill him, but they did... so of course they're covering it. Very ethical!

But I'm a Cheerleader - a movie about lesbian cheerleaders...

If These Walls Could Talk 2 - gay teen in the '70s...

For gawdsakes - Michelle had a child out of wedlock w/ Heath too.

My theory - Santa Fe Christian's enrolment #s are down & they are using this opportunity to criticize Michelle and attract other Christians who have the same belief...

I'm going to hell for making this commentary, aren't I? ;)

Wishful thinking

EW's Popwatch had initially noted that Britney was going to make a "major career announcement" this week. I was hoping that it would be some statement that she was going to rap on one of KFed's songs or she's making part two of the video where she drives a flying pink hummer or she's just quitting hte industry period. Alas, her "big" announcement was that she has no plans for the future...

That's a f*cking announcement? What a disappointment.

The ever so eloquent

Yeah yeah... I've been MIA for the past while. Mostly due to my obsession w/ the Winter Olympics and hte fact that work was CRAZY last week. Kinda sad that I won't have the Olympics to look fwd to every night, but I guess that also means that the shows I watch will be back w/ new eps.

Anywho, while I would never proclaim to be a word smith of any sort, I sure hope that I would be a better spokesperson than Ms. Anderson. It was announced that Pam is gonna be the host of the 2006 JUNOS... oh joy! </sarcasm> Here's what she said in a statement,

Canadian music rocks. No matter where I am in the world I can listen to Canadian music and feel like I'm at home. This is going to be one kick-ass awards show.
Gee... makes me wonder if she *really* wrote this letter... </sarcasm>

Wow... what a star studded film

</sarcasm> When Daniel Craig was announced to be succeeding Pierre Bronson, there was a huge uproar in Hollywood and the blogosphere, including me. Really... who is this Daniel Craig person & why doesn't he look like a James Bond? He's blonde for gawdsake! W/ the 21st Bond movie going into production soon, only time will tell whether Craig will be the next Lazenby.

Eva Green was announced to be the upcoming Bond Girl and Mads Mikkelsen is going to be the Bond nemisis. Yeah, that's right... WHO!?! Granted, maybe this movie will launch Green's career. You never know w/ these things. While incredibly talented, the biggest name attached to the movie, Jeffrey Wright isn't going to pull in that many fans.

It's looking more & more like this movie is going to be a bomb. Perhaps I should sell my stock before it bottoms out.
