I'm back!

Not that any of you have missed me.

I guess I should have posted that I was leaving the country for a month, huh? Well, I did & now I'm back. It's amazing how much news you miss out on when you're in a different country. I honestly have no idea what went on in the world, apart from major, major news & more importantly, what was happening in the celebrity/pop culture world. I'm so out of the loop.

& while for some of you, September brings forth a new school year or the end of summer, for me, the most important thing (sadly) is television series season premieres. The worst part of my month away was missing ALL the show. & as addicted to TV as I am, it's going to take me forever & a day to catch up. The downfall is that I have to avoid all blogs & all water cooler chat at the office until I catch up & it's looking like that may not happen until X'mas! :(

*sigh* What a tragic life I lead! ;)

On the other hand, my trip was amazing. I should be getting my travel blog up soon. Some of you who had been getting my e-mail updates will get it via e-mail. For those who are interested in my travel blog, just send me an e-mail & I just may consider adding you to my list. ;)

Getting older...

Although my b-day came and went a couple of months ago, whenever I come across old pictures - most recently my passport from when I was 1.5 y/o - I can't help but think how much time has past and how quickly it flies. It's hard to believe that my 10 yr high school reunion will be taking place in less than two yrs! Have I really been out of HS for that long? & while the cliché answer would be, "It feels like it was yesterday," it doesn't, but it sure doesn't feel like it's been eight yrs.

It's odd to be looking back at my passport photo, or any pic of when I was a child at that, and see how much I've changed/aged. I barely recognize myself - granted, some of the photos I took when I was younger were downright horrific. Obviously, I'm getting older every year - in years on this earth and in physical appearance. However, w/ that said, I don't think I look that much different today than I did four yrs ago, other than haircut, glasses and the extra weight I've put on due to sitting and working long hours.

But I've must've aged in appearance, right? Am I just oblivious to it because I see myself everyday in the mirror? Well, a chickie poo from who the hell knows when, decided to document her aging process by taking a photo of herself everyday for three years. W/ the emergence of YouTube, she's taken all the photos and converted them to video where the photos morph into each other. Personally, can't totally tell if she's aged a lot over the past three yrs, but supposedly, she's going to continue doing this and past another clip in 2009.

Gotta give her kudos for actually taking a photo of herself EVERYDAY for three yrs and managing to position herself and facial expression so they're virtually the same EVERYDAY. Can't say that I have the determination or comittment to even take a photo of myself everyday. But a nifty lil concept nontheless. ;)
