Need to catch up on Veronica Mars...

& don't want to buy the DVDs? Well, if you live close to me, you can always borrow season 1 from me & if you know my brother, you can borrow season 2 from him in a couple of months time. However, VMars has now somewhat reached "syndication" in Canada. W Network will start airing the show Sept. 8. Too bad Media in Canada doesn't realize that it's actually Kristen Bell that stars in teh show, not Lauren. ;)

Gawd help us...

Q: Who in their right mind would offer the roll of Roxie Hart in Chicago to Ashlee Simpson!?

A: Obviously someone who's deaf...

That sure snuck up on me...

The Emmy's that is... I swear they're normally not on this early in the year. Anywho, if you're like me, you didn't realize that the awards show is actually THIS Sunday. Will you be turning in? While I know it's a waste of my time, I know that I'll be sitting on the couch, in front of the TV on Sunday.

Back in July, I posted the "potential" list of finalists and italicized those that I want to get a nomination. I think I was probably about 25 per cent on the mark. Obviously, I do not share the same taste in television as those in the industry. :
Anyway, here's the list of Emmy nominations up for an award and those in red are the ones that I want a win for. Thanks to AP for the list. ;)

Uh oh spaghettios

The not-so-lil and not-so-cute anymore once-wonderkid, Haley Joel Osment, has gotten himself into a lot of shiznit! He got himself into a lil car bang up a whiles back, well, it's been confirmed that the Sixth Sense star had a blood alcohol content of 0.15 per cent. :O *&* was in possession of some ganja.

Sure... 90 per cent of kids have engaged in under-age drinking. But drinking & driving? NOT COOL!

Associated Press needs their ears checked

Maybe an ear cleaning is in order?

While I haven't seriously sat down & watched the Teen Choice Awards in yrs, I'll usually catch bits & pieces of it whenever Much Music repeated - and I mean *repeatedly* - airs it throughout the year, but this year, the show was to be a "special" one. K-Fed was scheduled to perform his latest single from K Federation records. Yes - that is one creative name for a record label! :
While I can proudly say that I didn't watch the entire show for this appearance, I was curious as to hear his latest single, as Popozao was a musical masterpiece! Unlike AP, I thought the song was horrible - hell, it didn't even sound like a song. I think the reporter who drafted this story was smoking something when he/she wrote it. Not half bad? You've gotta be kidding me!

edit: Oh thank GAWD! I'm not the only one that thinks AP's review was wack.

Remind me never to fly in & out of Germany...

Just listening to News1130 - it's unfortunately part of my job description - and heard that Germany has plans to change its constitution so they can shoot down hijacked planes. While I do agree w/ the masses that we can't let the terrorist win, I still get the heeby jeebies thinking about this (yes, I said heeby jeebies!). I understand the rationale of it - sacrifice some to save the "greater good" or population, but it's still disturbing for me to think that someone would be willing to do so. :\

Are you watching VM?

& if the answer is no, why NOT!? By far, one of the best TV shows out there. I love it, critics love it, Joss whatever his last name is and created Buffy love is, so why doesn't mass America love it?

I strongly encourage you, hell, I'm urging you to give Veronica Mars a try. You'll fall in love w/ the dynamics of LoVe and if Teddy Dunn was still on the show, perhaps you'd like VD.

Do you have a Dell laptop?

You may want to make sure that the battery doesn't explode on you... seriously.

Dell just launched a battery recall following some incidents. I thought they were just airing on the side of caution, but holy shiznit, the batteries really are exploding. Check out the pics on Kris Abel's, Canada AM tech reporter, blog.

Getting older...

Although my b-day came and went a couple of months ago, whenever I come across old pictures - most recently my passport from when I was 1.5 y/o - I can't help but think how much time has past and how quickly it flies. It's hard to believe that my 10 yr high school reunion will be taking place in less than two yrs! Have I really been out of HS for that long? & while the cliché answer would be, "It feels like it was yesterday," it doesn't, but it sure doesn't feel like it's been eight yrs.

It's odd to be looking back at my passport photo, or any pic of when I was a child at that, and see how much I've changed/aged. I barely recognize myself - granted, some of the photos I took when I was younger were downright horrific. Obviously, I'm getting older every year - in years on this earth and in physical appearance. However, w/ that said, I don't think I look that much different today than I did four yrs ago, other than haircut, glasses and the extra weight I've put on due to sitting and working long hours.

But I've must've aged in appearance, right? Am I just oblivious to it because I see myself everyday in the mirror? Well, a chickie poo from who the hell knows when, decided to document her aging process by taking a photo of herself everyday for three years. W/ the emergence of YouTube, she's taken all the photos and converted them to video where the photos morph into each other. Personally, can't totally tell if she's aged a lot over the past three yrs, but supposedly, she's going to continue doing this and past another clip in 2009.

Gotta give her kudos for actually taking a photo of herself EVERYDAY for three yrs and managing to position herself and facial expression so they're virtually the same EVERYDAY. Can't say that I have the determination or comittment to even take a photo of myself everyday. But a nifty lil concept nontheless. ;)
