It should've ended last yr!

According to Toby Ziegler, The West Wing won't be lasting for much longer. All I really havta say to that is THANK FRICKIN' GAWD! That show has gone to the shitters this past yr. It's had gotten to the point that I really didn't care if I missed a couple of eps here & there. Looking back now, I think I watched the 1st 5-7 eps of the season & threw it to the back burner so I could watch the Canadian airing of The OC.

Gee… I couldn't watch a show because

  1. The storyline sucked
  2. I didn't give a rat's ass about the storyline
  3. I couldn't understand the storyline after missing an ep or parts of the show

Besides… all that Seth/Summer/Anna love triangle was just so much more intriguing. Will he choose Summer? Will he choose Anna? & in the end, he made the better choice. Granted, the best choice would've been to choose me… ;)

Re-hired!

No no no... not me!  I haven't been fired yet.  Thanks for the vote of confidence!

After all the whoop la about Jorja "Hor-Ha" Fox and George "Hottie" Eads had been fired due to not signing a letter and showing up late in response to contract talks, it seems like everything will soon be reversed! You've gotta love how media jumps on everything! I guess every outlet feels they need to get an exclusive and "breaking" news. & if they don't carry the story, then it seems like they're behind on the times…

Anywho, new details about this whole firing situation has surfaced. Turns out that the letter that Fox was supposed to sign and send back was just delayed. Rather than faxing the letter back, she snail mailed it. As for Eads, he didn't show up late in protest of his contract negotiations. According to him:
"I overslept," Eads said during a news conference to promote his upcoming TNT telepic "Evel Knievel." "And I don't mean I overslept 10 minutes, 30 minutes. I woke up white as a sheet 3½ hours after I was supposed to be on the set, and called to say I was on my way to work, and they said, 'Don't bother.' "

So, rumours has it that both of them could very well be hired back on, which quite pleases me. Can't say that I was too impressed when I got word that they were being fired. Why? Well, the obvious would be that George is HOT. ;)

My first encounter w/ Hollywood North!!!!

It had to happen some time sooner or later, right? I've only been living in the Lower Mainland for 24+ yrs, and it only took me 24+ yrs to have an encounter... although, it really isn't as exciting as I'm making it seem right now. ;)

Over the yrs, I've seen film productions in my area... X-Files in downtown Poco, X-Files at Riverview Hospital, Tru Calling by Ioco, The Dead Zone in downtown Vancouver etc. Aside from the time that I stumbled onto the set of 2gether and walking past the guys from Sum 41 @ YVR terminals, I have never seen any actors in the city during their own personal/private time.

This all changed on Friday. I got off a bit early because there was no one in the office due to many taking the day to have an extra long Canada Day weekend. So, I was doing a lil bit of shopping downtown and was heading twds Future Shop & Winners. I was walking past the Cafe Crèpe on Granville when I saw a woman sitting outside eating and she looked DAMN familiar. I kept glancing over @ her because it was annoying me, until I realized she looked an awful lot like Katherine Moennig from The L Word. As I walked past her, I glanced back for one more look & saw that she was w/ Leisha Hailey, one of the other stars of the show.
