The things you learn while watching the world's best awards show/party

Last night was the annual MMVAs, which is, by far, the much exciting & entertaining awards show that there is. American's, you think your MTV VMAs rock? Try the MMVAs & you'll know how much your show/party pales in comparison to your Cdn counterpart. The MMVAs' red carpet is amazing. What other awards show allows fans to line up along the barracades while the celebrities walk are being interviewed by Mr. Strombouloupolous? What other awards show has 3 different stages? What awards show is held outside where the entire audience is made up of fans & non-celebrities? Oh... there isn't one.

I've always loved the MMVAs. I was hoping to intern for Much Music last summer so I could get a piece of the action, but unfortunately, that went no where. Every yr, I try to tune in.

Anywho, it's amazing how much one can learn w hile watching the MMVAs. For instance... the Beastie Boys don't look as old when they've got trucker hats on & they sure are pretty bad @ giving acceptance speeches when they're not making a political statement. Fefe Dobson is pretty dang good @ the running man, especially for someone her age. Hilary Duff could very well be the next Britney Spears in the lip synching arena. I'm sorry, but if you're walking through a throng of screaming fans while singing, *some* of their screaming should be picked up via her mic & yet... NONE of it was! *&* one of the boys, Dave, from Sum 41 got married!

Well, it's been a while since I've blogged. Quel surprise. IF anyone knows me, they'd be able to say that this is the norm for me. I get stoked about something & go @ it steadily for a month. Then the drive dies off... BUT I'm BACK... for @ least a month. ;)

Anywho, just cruising IMDB to see what Helen Shaver has been in. Didn't really know who she was, which probably is not a "good" thing seeing that she is receiving a star on Canada's Walk of Fame this yr. While I was @ IMDB, I came across this...

Affleck "Stunned" by J.Lo Wedding

Hollywood hunk Ben Affleck was horrified when he discovered former fiancee Jennifer Lopez had married her latest lover just five months after they split, according to friends. The Jersey Girl stud - who dated the Maid In Manhattan star for 18 months - has so far made little public comment about J.Lo's shock marriage to fellow singer Marc Anthony. But close friends say the Gigli heart-throb was devastated by the news of Lopez's third marriage, believing it came too soon after their passionate relationship floundered. A source tells American magazine In Touch Weekly, "At first, Ben was shocked, sort of bowled over, like he'd been run over by a truck. He couldn't believe it - only five months after the split. It's like pouring salt in the wound."

What??? Affleck was hurt? No shit Sherlocke! Even though I thought the whole Bennifer thing was a publicity stunt @ the beginning, they were together for way too long for it to truly be one. Who in their right mind would devote *that* much of their life for a publicity stunt. Granted, we are talking about J. Lo here. I never thought that Affleck & her made a realistic couple, but whatev. *&* if Affleck didn't get emotional about this 3rd marriage, he'd be a frigging robot.
