Tuesday and Wednesday nights = TV conondrum

I had started this post yesterday, but lost it. So might as well include my Wednesday night conondrum in the same post. <edit> The Tuesday recap was getting long, so I'll do Wed in another post.</edit>

As you may well be aware - I'm addicted to TV. Love it... LOVE it! Could not live w/out it... OK, that's a slight exageration, but you get the pnt.

So, my Tuesday night television watching has turned into quite the dilemna. The 8 p.m. slot is OK... there's really not much on that I feel the need to see. This past Tues., my dad tuned into Chief in Commander, the new Geena Davis show about a female president. As much as I love Donald Sutherland, can't say that i see this one lasting long. The premise of the show is a little extreme. The prez dies, so the Geena Davis, the VP is going to be named the new prez. However, there's an issue because there are others who say that she was only appointed as a stunt. Then she has to deal w/ the fact that she isn't going to name her husband her chief of staff (seriously, who the hell names their spouse as their chief of staff???) & of course, balance her life as the President and a mother of 3. Gag me w/ a spoon already!

9 p.m. on Tuesdays are turning out to be quite the issue. There's Amazing Race: Family Edition on CBS, My Name is Earl and The OFfice on NBC and Supernatural on CityTV.

Although it's gotten mixed reviews, I'm w/ EW, I really like Jensen Ackles or Jared Padalalalal on the show. REALLY! Although I'm finding it really odd to hear Jared's character call Jensen's character Dean - since Jared played Dean on Gilmore Girls. But since, no one else is watching it, I'll just d/l this one.

So, the real battle is between CBS & NBC's lineup. I love Jason Lee and the show is hilarious! I've been an avid fan of TAR since it came out, but I'm not totally digging the whole family spin on it. First off, they're not nuclear families - which isn't a HUGE deal, but really, is it fair to have a father and his three adult daughters competing against a mom, dad and two children. The youngest member of the show is 8 for gawdsakes! Not to mention, one of the best things about the show is the see the interrelationships b/n the teams - the fighting, the backstabbing, the conniving maneovres (sp?), etc. W/ kids on teh show, I don't see that happening. :\

This week, I opted for Earl and didn't watch the two hour premiere of TAR. But what about next week? I guess I'll havta wait & see if TAR does becomes the "main attraction" of water cooler conversation at work.

& finally, the 10 p.m. slot. I'm divided b/n Law & Order: SVU and Gilmore Girls. *sigh* What's a girl to do?
