Actually, *you're* infuriating
I got my Reuters Oddly Enough e-mail this morning and one of the stories today is all about Bono thinking that Paul Martin is "infuriating". For once I've gotta give huge props (that's right... HUGE props ;) ) to our PM. I personally think he's done us right by not committing to .7 per cent of our GDP to boost foreign aid when we don't know for sure whether we can. Like the 56 per cent that were survey, I sorta agree that perhaps we should look our own nation first before forking over millions to other countries. I'm *NOT* saying that we shouldn't help those countries that are more unfortunate than our wealthy nation, but I don't know if you've noticed, but there are plenty of homeless people still on the streets of downtown Vancouver. Why don't we do something to help them out first? Just my opinion.
Now... on another & more serious note... wow... terrorist attacks in London. What a tragic event! I haven't had a chance to actually sit down & watch any of the news coverage yet, but if you have any relatives or friends in London, I hope that they are all OK and weren't involved in any of the bombings!
